These plaster models depict two of sculptor Lee Lawrie’s design concepts for the main entrance of the NAS Building at 2101 Constitution Ave NW. Some slight modifications were made in the final design, a detail of which can be seen in an earlier post. Notable differences include the omission of the figures seen in the version at right and the use of a simpler typeface for the text above the doorway.
